MISENOMA is an old folk house built over 120 years ago. During renovation work, several cypress pillars were removed due to damage and traffic flow. These are wooden tulips carved from reused pillars. What we aimed for was not a convenient and neat product, nor a craft that requires advanced craftsmanship. It is something a little strange and full of love, as if it was handmade by someone in a foreign country with someone in mind. We carved each piece one by one, deforming the image of cuteness and cheerfulness that we feel from tulips and reflecting it in the overall shape.
You can use it however you like: insert it into a glass or a vase, pin it to the wall with a pin, lean it against the wall, or use it however you like. The pillars are filled with many memories from the long time they have supported the house. I hope that their next role will bring you a smile and a moment of peace in your daily life.
