This is an old teacup made by Moriyama Masao of Moriyama Kiln in Shimane Prefecture. The small size of the pottery gives a simple and modern impression, and it may be good to use it as a sake cup. Moriyama, who was the last apprentice of Kawai Kanjiro in Kyoto and later served as an assistant to Takeuchi Seijiro in Kurashiki, has a simple and healthy beauty in his pottery.
