This wine glass was made by Funaki Waho, a representative Japanese glass artist. As he was most fond of wine glasses, he produced many different shapes. This is a British style called baluster style, arranged by Funaki Waho for the Japanese market. Its appeal lies in its well-balanced size and familiar decoration. Although he has continued to create tableware mainly for everyday use, all of his works have a certain refined beauty and are pleasing to the eye as interior objects. The exhibition held at the Oyamazaki Sanso Museum of Art to mark the 10th anniversary of his death in 2023 is still fresh in people's memories, and his timeless works continue to have many fans.
