This is the Römer Cup, made by Funaki Waho, a representative Japanese glass artist. Based on the traditional German and Dutch glassware, the Römer cup, this piece was created to suit the Japanese dining and living environment, and is one of his representative works, combining a sophisticated presence with a sense of weight and stability. Although he has continued to create tableware for daily use, all of his works have a certain refined beauty to them, making them pleasing to the eye as interior objects. The exhibition held at the Oyamazaki Sanso Museum of Art to mark the 10th anniversary of his death in 2023 is still fresh in people's memories, and his timeless works continue to have many fans.
