An egg baker from Denishi Kiln, a representative folk kiln in the San'in region. It is a beautiful antique piece with a candy glaze that differs from current designs. An egg baker is a dish that can be placed directly over a fire to cook eggs and other foods. It is a convenient dish that can be used for a variety of purposes, such as making soft-boiled eggs for breakfast, ajillo, chawanmushi, and gratin. It can also be heated directly on the wire rack at a BBQ. Denishi Kiln dishes from that time are now rare, and you will suddenly notice their beauty when you arrange them on the dining table or wash the dishes.
Size: Φ95 h55 mm (egg baker *handle not included) Φ134 h29 mm (saucer)
